Bed and Bedding
We have a wide variety of beds, bedding and mats, all cut to size for easy cleaning. (Many dogs vote with their feet for resting on the tile, by pushing their bedding out of the way). Our bedding is chew-resistant, so we don’t have to concern ourselves with a dog ingesting something indigestible in the middle of the night. We discourage people from bringing their own bedding.

Food
Our kitchen is stocked with a wide enough variety of dry and canned foods that we will provide your pet with a diet that is comparable (if not an exact match) to his home regimen. Our storage space is limited; unless your pet is on a prescription diet we prefer to supply the food.

Belongings
Less is better. Most dogs ignore their chew toys while they are here. We have a supply of toys for those who are interested. We would much rather be involved with caring for your pet than for his belongings. In any event, we cannot be responsible for toys that get lost or destroyed.

Bathing and Grooming
Because our kennel cleaning routines are quite comprehensive, most dogs do not need a bath before they go home (unless they were in need when they arrived).

Nevertheless, for your convenience we offer complete baths on going-home day. We use only the best quality shampoos and conditioners. Our baths include thorough brushing and combing, ear cleaning, nail clipping, gland expression if necessary, as well as trimming the face, feet, and tail areas.

In some instances it may not be possible for us to give your dog a bath: your dog is overdue for a full grooming, or your departure falls on a day our bather is not available.

Fleas and Ticks
Years ago control of fleas and ticks was rightly a major concern on the part of prospective boarders; now nearly everyone uses monthly drops to protect against these parasites, so the questions rarely come up.

Nonetheless we want you to know that our grounds are professionally treated a minimum of four times annually for flea and tick control. Furthermore our kennel cleaning routines virtually eliminate the possibility of cross contamination.

Finally, because there is no way we can prove that a flea you find on your dog didn’t come from the kennel, we make no warranty concerning fleas and ticks.
