Kennelbucks
The purpose of our Kennelbuck program is twofold:
- First, to thank our customers for their continued patronage.
- Second, to thank our customers for their generous referrals.
How It Will Work For The First Purpose
Each time you checkout your pet we will give you a Kennelbuck for each night your pet boarded during that reservation. A 7-night reservation earns $7 in Kennelbucks. If you boarded multiple pets,
each pet earns his/own Kennelbucks. A cat and a dog or two dogs for seven nights will earn $14 in Kennelbucks. These Kennelbucks will be paper currency, like Monopoly money or (dare we say) Federal Reserve notes.
You will be free to redeem these k-bucks, dollar per dollar, during your next reservation. Alternatively you might prefer to accumulate them for a planned longer trip. You can even feel free to give them to a friend or relative who is coming to board here. They're your property.
About the only thing you will not be able to do is apply them to the reservation in which they are earned, since that would give our kennel software fits and bugger up our sales tax calculation. In addition, if you forget to bring them back with you we will not be able to apply them to your next invoice because we do not track the individual certificates.
How It Will Work For The Second Purpose
We will mail you a matching amount of Kennelbucks as anyone you refer here earns. For example Mr . A refers Ms. B, whose two dogs stay here for $5 nights. Ms. B earns $10 in k-bucks, and we will promptly mail Mr. A $10 in k-bucks. This will be our procedure each and every time Ms. B boards here. As long as Ms. B does business with us, Mr. A will earn a matching amount of k-bucks. If Mr. A refers more than one customer here, he will earn matching k-bucks for all of them as often as they board here. An individual who is an active referrer could save a considerable portion of their own boarding charges.
Limitations
Each new customer can only designate one referrer. We are pleased that often a new customer will identify several folks who "said good things". In that case it will necessary for that customer to designate which one of the referrers "sealed the deal". So, please, if you refer someone here, give that individual your name! We are very gratified when a lady at the soccer match points another soccer mom in our direction, but if we don't know the first lady's name, we can't get her into the field on our computer that we've reserved for that purpose.
We do not give Kennelbucks for one-night trial boards.
We do not necessarily do business with everyone you refer here. As we forthrightly explain throughout our website, particularly on our Customer Relations page, if we don't think a pet will have a satisfactory boarding experience here, we do not take on the responsibility.
Although we generally expect to be paid when you pick up your pet, sometimes it is necessary to mail an invoice. If we have to wait more than 30 days to receive payment, no Kennelbucks will be issued for that reservation to either the customer or the referrer.
Finally, we reserve the right to cancel this program if it becomes a PIA. In that case we will continue to honor all the Kennelbucks in circulation. We can only imagine stopping this program if people start forgetting to bring them, but want them "applied now and mailed in later". Or we have disputes over who referred Mr. C. Or somebody starts counterfeiting them.
